Growing up in the Appalachian Mountains, I developed a deep love and appreciation for the outdoors. Nature has always been my sanctuary—a place of peace amid life’s daily hustle. Walking beneath a canopy of towering oaks, maples, pines, walnuts, locusts, and cherry trees is a humbling experience. I often find myself imagining those giants as tiny saplings, wondering how many seasons they’ve endured to reach such great heights. If only they could tell their stories! My passion lies in uncovering the natural beauty of wood—restoring, crafting, remodeling, and designing. When the opportunity arose to leave the corporate world and pursue this dream, I took a leap of faith, and Elly May Lane was born. Sustainability is at the heart of what we do. Each piece is handcrafted from fallen timber milled onsite and reclaimed wood, giving new life to materials that would otherwise be forgotten. The result?
